PRIMARY PURPOSE:The Executive Director & General Manager will lead and direct all initiatives developed through the Entertainment & Sports Center of Excellence (COE) for the Arenas operated by MGM Resorts International. This includes overseeing promoter and artist relations from contract execution, budgeting, staff scheduling, and venue management. In collaboration with the Entertainment & Sports COE, the Executive Director will execute on the overall strategy, including staffing, guest service, employee engagement, and profitability.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Primary oversight and leadership for all operations. Develop and monitor fiscal, CapEx, and event budgets to produce both short-term and long-term profitability.Provide leadership and direction for identified venues and ensure operations team is executing according to the strategic plans and goals of the Entertainment COE and utilize sound business practices to drive increased profitability.

Work closely with property and corporate executives in the development, execution, and refinement of venue operations that support the property and COE business objectives. Collaborate with other departments within the Entertainment COE, such as booking, ticketing and revenue management to enhance operations and profitability. Communicate with MGMRI Senior leadership and key internal/external stakeholders to maintain positive business relationships.

Establish and execute best practices for effective hiring, employee training, leadership development, onboarding, performance management, talent review and succession planning.Oversight day to day venue operations, ticketing, live event production, event management, financial reporting, venue maintenance, artist relations, and food and beverage offerings.Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers.

Ensures excellent guest experience by establishing and monitoring service standards for all third party service providers.Stays abreast of new trends and innovations in relation to arena operations and partner across the organization in support of cross-functional MGMRI initiatives and collaborate on common management goals.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Four (4) years of experience in a management position in one of the following: entertainment, casino industry, marketing, hospitality, or related field.PREFERRED:Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, entertainment operations, and venue management.
